Seasons of change

Change is inevitable yet for most of us it is unsettling to say the least. Change encourages us to realign our dreams with Gods will.

Transition phases are always difficult they bring out our insecurities and depending on the change may make us question our selves and the path we are on. We need to remember that wtever the season of our lives, God has a plan far greater and more exciting than we can imagine. He has only our best interest at heart and He is seeing the big picture not just the valley we may be stuck in.

Sometimes we instigate the change ourselves and we simply have to take the first step and trust that God will work out the details. Other times we reach a point where we follow a bend in the road that we would not have chosen for ourselves - whatever brings the transition – God is in control. He is the one true constant, always leading us into a closer relationship with Him.

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that there is a time for everything. There is a time to plant and a time to harvest. There is a time to live and a time to die. There is a time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to search and a time to give up. Yes, that's right, there is a time to give up. We usually feel that if we are not living up to the expectations that have been set before us, then we are failing. We need to accept the change of seasons in our lives and recognise the season we are in. If we are not deeply rooted in our faith storms of change will shake our foundations. As we walk into new beginnings and new ventures we need to stay focused on our all loving, all knowing God.
