what's in your hand, what's on your heart...





God has created each of us as individuals,  there is only one YOU. No one else can live out the calling on your life in the same way. God has given you incredible giftings and filled your heart with passsion.

What drives you, what breaks your heart, what prompts you to step up and action the love you feel? Sometimes we need to do more than speak about things, we need to listen to the prompting of the holy spirit,  be led by God and step out of our comfort zone, knowing full well that our loving Lord will go with us wherever he leads.

"Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
~ Joshua 1:9


I love listening. I love hearing people's life stories and testimonies and letting the holy spirit minister to people. I love seeing people who suddenly, really grasp , just how much they are loved and how Gods love is totally unconditional. How we are His beloved children and the very word says simply be-loved!  When we understand that, soften our hearts to him and allow him access, to all the broken places in our hearts, we will be healed and transformed by his love and presence in our lives.

I would love it If I could meet people for a cup of coffee everyday, and listen, and tell people how amazing they are. Not because of themselves, but because of Christ in them, because they are created in God's image.

To let you know that you are loved, more than you can imagine, unconditionally and intentionally by the creator of the universe. And that wherever you are God is with you, always!

" So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and established in His love, may have the power together with all God's people to know how wide, how long, how high and how deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure and the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power at work in us, to him be the glory." ~ Ephesians 3:17-2


More recently I realise that while I do indeed love that. I love it in comfortable environments :) coffee shops, natural areas and churches are 'safe and comfortable' for me... hospitals, rehab centers and prisons... not so much. And yet God has led me to all those places and been with me every step. I have stretched and grown with Him by my side. And along the way I have learned that sometimes we need to take action more than just speak.  Sometimes we need to go to the places we dont really want , to speak to the people who no one else wants to speak to, to pray with, talk to, hug, support, encourage and to love EVERYONE as we have been loved.

Love is an action. Let God guide you today as you refresh and encourage those He brings along your path.

I saw eagles rising up and flying over South Africa. Singing unique sounds, united as one voice. As they sang and flew higher, feathers were falling, weighted by gold dust/glitter, they landed on South Africa. I was reminded, that we carry the very DNA of heaven, we are created IN HIS IMAGE. What we decree and declare releases heavenly DNA over our land. We are created to overflow - living water! As the gold dust and feathers touched the earth, the earth became full and the words we spoke began to take root, other eagle songs released "character words" that grew, multiplied and were fruitful. Be equally yoked.

The last few weeks I have had numerous discussions with various friends about dating non-Christians. Until recently I have been all for it - my reasoning - well you never know what God is doing and how or when He is going to soften peoples hearts and draw them near to Him. Sure I have always believed that you need someone similar to you, someone who has biblical qualities like integrity, is respectful of your beliefs and boundaries, is a good communicator etc. but I didn’t feel they really had to be totally sold out on God just because I am. Each to their own and hopefully one day they will come to know the lord. Early this year I went through a storm where I did not tell even my closest friends for a couple of weeks. While I was feeling alone, it just hit me, how when you are in difficult times you really want and need the person you are closest to and intimate with to be ready and willing to stand, fight and most importantly pray with and for you.
